Lab dip
A small dyed sample that approves the bulk colour.
A lab dip is your target shade dyed on the actual fabric before bulk. It is the most important approval in the order, because bulk dyeing cannot be undone.
Approve under a stated light source, keep the approved dip physically, and record the acceptable tolerance. A week is a normal turnaround.
