Slub

A deliberately irregular yarn that creates texture in the fabric.

A slub yarn varies in thickness along its length, producing a fabric with visible thick and thin streaks. It is common in linen and in “slub jersey” for a textured, natural look.

Slubs are a design feature, not a defect — but the amount is a commercial agreement. Agree a photo reference and a tolerance, otherwise every bulk delivery becomes an argument.
