Dye lot
One batch of dyeing; shade can vary slightly between lots.
Fabric dyed in one batch is a dye lot. Colour is consistent within a lot but can shift slightly between lots, even with the same recipe.
This is why reorders can arrive a shade off, and why mills ask for a minimum per colour. If you need several colours in one garment, specify that they must be matched from one lot.
