The tactile quality of a fabric — how it feels in the hand.
Hand feel covers softness, stiffness, coolness, weight and surface texture. It is subjective, which is why it has to be anchored to a physical standard.
“Soft” means little without a reference swatch. Approve a physical sample, wash it, and keep it — that is the only reliable way to compare a bulk delivery.
